David was a comics editor during the 90s, working on the Judge Dredd Megazine and, latterly, iconic British weekly anthology 2000AD. He went freelance in the year 2000 and has written comics published in eight different countries in nearly as many languages, including 40 issues of The Phantom for Egmont. He writes TV drama for the BBC and teaches part-time at Edinburgh Napier University. His classes include one of the world’s first postgrad modules on writing for graphic fiction.

many comics creators.

Kurt Hathaway studied art& design at the prestigious Rhode Island
School of Design (RISD) and studied film and screenwriting at New York
University’s world-famous film department.

He’s been a comics freelancer for 25 years. His client list reads like a
who’s who of publishers: DC, Marvel, Image, Dark Horse, Eclipse, Malibu,
and tons of others. He has thousands of lettering credits including two
for Newsweek and Esquire magazines.

He also letters the webcomics “Master Jesus” and “Chicago 1968” both
written by Len Kody.

In addition to lettering and logos, Kurt Hathaway’s Cartoon Balloons
Studio does custom font design, page/book/magazine design, pre-press
(setting up press files for the printer), animated motion graphics for
video projects, writing, and freelance editing.

He’s written material for Image Comics, DC Comics, Antarctic Press,
Electronic Arts Playstation Division, and ABC/Disney Television.He’s
currently writing the comic series “Dawn of the Dread Force” for Jaran

Rob Tracy is the writer for the webcomic “Remedy” as well as the (terrible) artist and writer for “Badly Written, Badly Drawn” and the modeler, animator, artist and co-writer for the soon to be launched “Symbolic Warfare.” All comics are available at Remedial Comics dot com. Rob is a Gulf War veteran with two degrees in pre-law and criminal justice. He has years of experience in private security as well as criminal and immigration law.
In January of this year Rob opened the webcomic creators website “Webcomics Community” where over two hundred and seventy five webcomic authors and
artists gather regularly to discuss anything and everything related to the
world of webcomics. Rob is also known to write freelance for anyone
willing to pay him a friendly compliment.
